2017 CTC Joining Instructions
This page contains information regarding Summer Courses and contains all Joining Instruction, required documents, and instructions required to fill them out. THESE DOCUMENTS ARE MANDATORY and if not completed, the cadet will not be able to attend their course.
Please take some time and carefully read over the Joining Instructions for the particular Summer Training Centre that you will be attending. If you are not sure where you are going, the top sheet of the Offer of Participation that you signed (The top copy you kept for information, the bottom copy returned to the Squadron with signatures) will have the location of your summer course.
The Joining Instructions have all details regarding what to bring, what NOT TO BRING, emergency contact numbers, graduation dates and times etc. If you have any questions after reading through the Joining Instructions, please email the squadron and we will answer them as soon as possible. Please include a phone number in your email requests in the event that a telephone conversation is required.
The Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan, Food Sensitivity and Anaphylaxis Consent form are new this year. These new forms are to mimic the forms now being used by many school boards.
PLEASE READ THE ANAPHYLAXIS ENGLISH document, it will explain the documents and will give further instructions on completion. The portion marked "Protected A" must be completed and returned to the unit PRIOR to the Departure Date. A Staff member will be at the LHQ on Tuesday June 20, and 27, 2017, between 1800 and 1900 Hrs, to collect these forms. The Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan has a spot for a photo of the cadet and a signature from their Physician. THESE ARE NOT REQUIRED THIS YEAR, however, will be required in the future. These documents only pertain to cadets with Food Sensitivity or Non Food Related Anaphylaxis. The forms are not required if the cadet is not affected by either.
The remainder of the forms, Leave Authorization, OTC Prescribed Medication, Personal Articles Log and Transportation Form are self explanatory. There are instructions for each in the Joining Instructions.
All forms will be the responsibility of the cadet to bring to the Summer Training Centre. Just a Reminder that the TRANSPORTAION form must be in their hand BEFORE BOARDING THE BUS. This form indicates if you will be picking up your cadet at graduation and bringing them home or if they require transpiration back to Windsor. If you are undecided, mark "Yes - will require transpiration" and if you decide to pick them up, there will be no issue. Instructions for notifying the CTC PRIOR TO GRADUATION are located in the Joining Instructions.
